Perth Amboy Officer Thomas Raji Remembered
TDF senior staff members present a check to remember a fallen brother
Officer Thomas Raji was killed when his patrol car was struck by a drunk driver on Route 1, in Woodbridge, while transporting a prisoner to the Middlesex County Jail. The drunk driver had run two red lights at the intersection before broadsiding Officer Raji's patrol car. Another officer and the prisoner in the patrol car were both injured. The drunk driver was charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto. Officer Raji had served with the Perth Amboy Police Department for 10 years. He is survived by his expectant wife, who also serves as an officer with the same department. Officer Raji's widow was presented a check in the amount of $5,000 by Tour de Force senior staff members John Mahoney, Jim Parker, Rob De Paolis and Mike DePaolis.
