The 9/11 "Tour de Force" Memorial Bike Ride was started in 2002 as a memorial to the fallen NYPD, FDNY and civilians who gave their lives in the September 11, 2001 attacks. Our tour has now evolved into an annual event in which we continue to express our support and raise funds for the families of our fallen brothers and sisters.

Each year approximately 100 law enforcement officers from around the country depart on bicycles from New York City and embark on a four day, 250 mile trek along the East Coast. In the great American spirit the group is often met along the route with a show of solidarity by local officials and citizens and police department.

The 9/11 "Tour de Force" challenge represents not only the strength and resolve of the NYPD and the individuals involved, but of all Americans.

The Tour de Force is a fully supported ride with a dedicated support team of volunteers that was created to raise funds for the families of Police Officers killed in the line of duty.

This years ride starts at Yankee Stadium in New York on Sept 11th and ends at Fenway Park in Boston MA on Sept 14th.

The first ride consisted of approximately 10 riders and 4 support team members. We have now grown to nearly 150 riders and almost a dozen support team members.

Our riders represent multiple police departments, government agencies, and emergency services units from all across the country including New York, Boston, New Hampshire, Las Vegas, New Jersey, DC, and many more.

The total distance of this years ride is about 250 miles, all of which is done on bicycles.

The TDF is a non profit organization. All proceeds raised are donated to the families of Police Officers killed in the line of duty.
